Serving up less waste.
Food waste is one of the most accessible ways we can fight climate change. We create tools to make it easy and fun—at the individual, city, and systems levels.
FOOD WASTE DEFINED
Food waste action, broken down.
The UN divides the problem in two. Food loss happens on the way to us: on farms, in storage, and in transit. Food waste happens once food reaches us: in grocery stores, restaurants, and homes. Global Goal 12.3 commits the world to cutting food waste in half by 2030.
We work on the waste half, where most of it happens. Around the world, nearly a fifth of the food available to people is wasted, and most of that happens at home.
Less left over
Menus, portions, and spaces designed so more food gets eaten.
Scraps with a future
Composting that's easy to find and easy to use, so food scraps feed soil, not landfills.
